Hardware Features

Before you cable your modem router, take a moment to become familiar with the front, side,

and back panels and the label. Pay particular attention to the LEDs on the front panel.

Front Panel

The modem router front panel has buttons and status LEDs.

LED Description

WPS Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) lets your use a wireless computer or device to join a secure wireless

network without typing the password. See WPS Method on p

lid green. A WPS-capable device is connected to the router.

• Blin

king green. A WPS connection with a WPS-capable device is in process.

• Off. No WPS co

nnection is detected.

Wireless

You can press the Wireless button to turn the wireless radio off and on.

king green. Data is being transmitted or received over the wireless link.

• Off. The wireless radio is turned off.

Internet

• Solid green. The Internet connection has been established.

• Blinking green. There is traffic on the Internet port.

lid red. The Internet (IP) connection failed.

• Off. No Inte

rnet connection is detected.
